On moving back to the UK in 1997 she presented BFBS's main TV news programme Scene Here and other defence programmes.

Lucy joined the BBC in 2000, working as a TV presenter and reporter in Southampton at BBC South. As well as presenting live news, and the flagship South Today evening programme, she also produced and presented a variety of special features including Children in Need.

Lucy is a versatile TV presenter and reporter capable of adapting to all kinds of environments - be it a fast paced newsroom and live studio, embedding assignments with the military, interviewing ministers, or, in one case, learning dance routines with the Cheeky Girls on live TV.
